The cruise was disappointing. Glad we went but would not go on a cruise here again. Would plan time at each island and fly to the destinations/Islands, rent a car, see what I want.
Embarkation

FYI- Not like other cruise lines DON'T bring a bottle of wine onboard. They will confiscate it until the end of the cruise.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Had the worst steak kabobs ever in the main dining. Buffet is similar to all others....its buffet food. Not all the specialty restaurants were open and most of them were completely booked and could not get into the restaurant we wanted.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Fitness center was nice. Newer equipment.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Only saw a few shows but the voices of the singers they had were better than other cruises.

Cabin / Stateroom

This is the best part of the trip. We were upgraded to a balcony Cabin 8146. Size is similar to other ships.
Ship tip
When at the ports, rent a car. The excursions are outrageously priced. You can find better deals when on each island.
Welp… glad you have all that time available…. Many don’t. The cruise is a great way to “sample” several of the very diverse islands. I agree that the tours are over priced. Depending on the island, getting a rental can be complex and costly…
Flying between islands is great if you have the time and money. Hard to beat waking up in the morning at a different port and not having to deal with hassle of airports, packing, checking in different hotels, etc. If you don't mind wasting most of a day between islands, flying is fine.
This cruise is primarily a way to cruise roundtrip in Hawaii on a larger ship without having to cruise to / from the mainland. It is not the same experience as a traditional cruise.
