Review summary

The excursions in the islands that we visited off and outside of the ship were beautiful the overall ship experience was not. It is overrated. The staff were lazy, the food was lousy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

My mushroom allergy was not addressed properly. In fact I had to constantly remind the workers and ask lots of questions and avoid foods I would have wanted because of mushrooms. I was never offered to have a dish made without the mushrooms.

Service and Staff

The waiters and waitresses in all of the eating establishments were lazy uninformed and unwilling to meet the needs of a customers. The food had no taste there was nothing exciting about any of the food. We often ate off of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was to small. When I asked our room Stewart why we didn’t receive any little chocolates at night or animals made out of towels, we were told that they are not permitted to do that on deck 4, only the upper decks! I’m sorry, but the last time I checked I think that a $6000 fee to cruise on the ship would have warranted a animal made out of towels and a few little chocolates!

Food allergies are serious but did you address this issue only during meal time? I agree that paying for the trip can be expensive but the crew works extremely hard for next to nothing. I always show gratitude by tipping for service (excluding prepaid gratuities) which generally means the service is exceptional. Just something to think about for your next vacation.
