Review summary

We had an all around horrible experience. Why the islands are gorgeous and worth a visit, we will never cruise again. The ship was one disappointment after another - and such a waste of money.

Embarkation

Terrible

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Cafeteria food at best: don’t have any expectations of quality.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The amenities are almost non-existent: no track, the pool is embarrassingly small, no slides/golf/sports activities on deck.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The ship just isn’t geared toward traditional cruising experiences. The shows are one-man performances at low level quality and there is no true theater performances.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
This was the worst part of our cruise. We had three children in our party (1, 7, 9) and the staff was so rude that they didn’t want to return after two days in the kids club. The staff clearly doesn’t want to be there and there are very few entertainment options. You’re better off on a different cruise line.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some great, some horrible - pretty standard in that sense.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Everyone in our party had the stomach bug during the trip. Admittedly tight quarters contribute to this but so does a dirty ship that isn’t consistently disinfected.

Ship tip

Save your money. Fly to Hawaii and stay in a hotel.

Do your research. This is the only U.S. cruise ship in the wirld and has to pay US rates and adhere to limited work hours. All ship supplies from food to fuel comes from 2500 miles away to Hawaii. To visit all ports, which are for inner island shipping, Pride has to be non super size. It is not the modern big luxury cruise with golf courses, water slides, go carts, etc. We love it. Casual and in a port each day. We meet great people, staff and passengers, from all over the world. Going eighth time in few months. Sorry you didn't enjoy it.

Thanks, for your honest review! I agree, this NCL pales in comparison to other ships. Although we loved the ports as well, we felt the standards for cleanliness, service, entertainment and food were sub par for the price point. I felt taken advantage of. No....it’s not just about the itinerary! I felt taken advantage of and would not recommend this ship.

Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. Most people love it, but it’s not for everyone. This cruise is about the itinerary and not the ship.
