Review summary

A great way to see Hawaii for the first timer. We were able to get a taste of each island and now we have a better idea on what we would like to see more of next time we go.

Main dinning room was good. Was able to stay with the same waiter each time even with the anytime dining. Specialty dining was good. A little stuffy for my taste. I enjoy interacting with the staff. The waitstaff at the specialty restaurants were all business. No fun. Buffett was good as well.

Some of the best performers we’ve seen on a cruise ship. Enjoyed all the shows. Comedian was excellent.

Al little small. Had a huge balcony. Could have cut a foot or 2 off the balcony and added it to the room. Otherwise it was clean. Room steward was on the ball.

Ship tip

Be very wary about the ‘free’ drink package. We paid a service fee and then tax on every drink while in port. Not sure it’s worth it depending on how much you drink.

Glad you enjoyed it. I see mixed reviews on this cruise and ship. As long as you are aware the cruise is about seeing Hawaii and not being in the newest ship with all the bells and whistles it will be a great cruise as you found out.

You are right on about a cruise being a great way for a first timer to visit Hawaii. I did it in 2007 and are going again in Feb '20.. drinks packages are a trap. They charge at least a 10 per day minimum at average $12-$16 per drink. Who drinks 12 alcohol drinks per day for over 7 days? 🥴 Love for your liver is vital to enjoy life (and cruising)
