Overall we enjoyed it a lot, but there were things that could have been better. Its a great way to see the islands. If I had other choices for the dates we needed I would have preferred a different cruise line, but we definitely liked the 2 overnight stays for the 2 best islands. The disembarkation/transfer process did not leave us with a good impression to end our trip. I would say 3.75 stars is a more accurate overall rating.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very efficient. No long lines or long waits.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Good to at times very good. Certainly I've had better food on other cruise lines. We did not try the specialty restaurants though
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Seemed avarage, but we spent a lot of our times on the islands anyway.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
comedian & magician were good. Musical acts were okay.
Service and Staff

4.5 stars. Very good-excellent
Ship Quality

Certain parts of ship not always easy to navigate to. Sometimes you have to go up or down and around to get to a different area of same floor. Some elevators to not go to all lower floors, but are not marked as such.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Its what you expect on a cruise. Was actually surprised by how we could get all our stuff in and organized for 3 people. only issue was that When the pull out bed is used you cannot get to balcony without stepping onto the bed & disturbing the kid sleeping in there.
Ship tip
DO NOT BUY TRANSFER TO AIRPORT FROM NORWEGIAN. IT WAS A HORRENDOUS & WE ENDED UP BAILING AFTER AN HOUR IN HOT BUILDING WITH SEVERAL HUNDRED OTHER POOR SOULS IN LINE. WE THEN GOT A LYFT IN 15 min FOR 25% FO THEIR COST
A definite highlight seeing the Napali coast from out port side balcony. The ship goes much faster & further away when it turns around & starboard is facing the coast.
Long line to get off ship, not nearly as well organized as embarkation. The airport transfer experience from Norwegian was HORRIBLE and we ended up just calling a Lyft.
We will be on that cruise in November. We are in a port side balcony which I am excited about. I would appreciate any advice you can share on this cruise. Thanks
Best to book late flight as so many want to get off early for excursions and flights. Big jam in lobby early hours. Better to stay later to disembark and consider a night in Waikiki or late afternoon flight out. Much easier.
Itβs never a good idea to book transportation through the ship and we rarely book excursions through the ship. Uber and Lyft are very simple for getting to her from the ship and independent excursions are almost always cheaper, less crowded and last longer
