Review summary

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. We couldn't ever decide if we should visit Hawaii on land or sea; so we did both! 5 days in Kona at the beautiful Hilton property and then this 7 day cruise. 😎We completed it with the helicopter ride!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Buffets were always a good variety. Dining rooms let you have a leisurely dining experience however, sometimes it was way too slow. They seemed under staffed, because all the tables weren't filled to capacity. Service was great in the Cadillac and the food was hot!

Skyline Main Dining Room

Got forgotten a couple of times waiting for a table. Then the servers were nice but a bit too slow. They didn't seem to have the same caliber of teamwork here as they did up in the Liberty

Service and Staff

Room steward took very good care of our room. She was kind and friendly. Everyone was kind from: the art gallery, to photo studio, and all of our waiters.

Ship Quality

Everything was nice and clean. My only complaint was that all the booth cushions in the "Cadillac" restaurant needed to be replaced. They were cracked and hurt me to sit on them while in shorts or a skirt.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were comfortable but cozy. It was tight, only able to pass around the bed one person at a time. Had everything we needed. The metal blow dryer was really heavy, it burnt my arm when I hit it by mistake!

Ship tip

Sign up for the drink tastings/specials! Get a lot of booze for $19.99! it's fun and you learn a lot!

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

We did a hop on-hop off tour in the afternoon prior to boarding the ship. We wish we would have done Pear Harbor instead. There just wasn't enough time to enjoy it! (the drivers were kind of crankie and not very easy to hear either) However; We visited Pearl Harbor when we returned from the cruise. We rented a car. (Most car rentals have transportation at the port - we didn't know that! We took an Uber - and beat the rush)

Kahului, Maui

The people didn't seem as friendly in Maui😒🤷‍♀️ We visited a botanical garden.

We took a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour! ✔ 2 checks off our bucket list!

Cruise Napali Coast, Kauai

We saw it from our helicopter but when we cruised by it on the ship, the next day, it was too foggy to see it. I felt bad for everyone that missed it!

We decided to walk off carrying our own luggage. Glad we did, we passed up all those people waiting in lines.
