The cruise was very nice. This time was different from our other cruises on the same ship as my activities were limited because of a serious car accident in July 2014. However, we were able to do activities of our choice and enjoy seeing the beauty of each island.
Embarkation

It was fine.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
My husband loved the buffet. I can only eat a soft food diet so there were some limitations on what I could eat.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
My husband did the classes on making a nut bracelet and a flower lei.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
I enjoyed the entertainment on previous cruises in 2013 and 2008 better.
Children's Programs
No children with us
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our steward, Velma, was amazing. She worked her cleaning schedule around my medical needs to rest during the afternoon. She was genuinely interested in how I was doing each day.
Zoe Davis at the Access desk provided me with excellent care in storing my liquid food for my PICC line in her frig at her desk since it would not all fit in our cabin frig.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very clean. Everyone was most helpful.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was comfortable.
Ship tip
If you do a balcony, the left side of the ship is more scenic when you are in the ports of call. The right side of the ship is great to see the Na Pali Coastline from your balcony.
We did sightseeing on our own. With the one day less on our cruise because of the mandatory dry dock Saturday we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center in a rental car and enjoyed it very much after we disembarked. We appreciated the hotel accommodations at Hilton Hawaiian Village for the one day we were not on the ship.
No excursion. We had wanted to go to the Discovery Center, but it was closed on Monday. We would have been there Tuesday if the cruise had been a regular 7 days. We attempted to walk to the Japanese Gardens about 1 1/2 miles away but found there are no sidewalks. We finally got there, but the taxi we called did not show up so we walked back. When you walk with a cane and have your husband push you in a wheelchair it did make the trip difficult. However, the gardens were worth the effort.
We took a taxi to the Hailohana Plantation and rode the train. It was most interesting. The other half day in Kauai we saw the Koi fish garden at the Marriott Hotel since it was suggested by the shuttle driver going to the shopping area.
