Review summary

The favorite part of the cruise is of course the ports!  Unfortunately we were unable to tender in Kona due to a hurricane approaching.  Kauai was our favorite port.  The Marriott hotel is very close to the port with a great restaurant and fantastic sand beach.

The stateroom attendant we had was unfortunately not very good.  The wait staff in the main dining restaurants weren't very friendly and incredibly slow!  Maybe because this is mostly an American crew the standards are different then on other Norwegian ships.  Service is much better with international crew!

The entertainment staff were great!  Loved all the trivia!

Overall a great ship if you want to visit Hawaii!

Very small balcony. The stateroom is great for 2 people. We had a 3rd person in the room using the sofa bed and it was not good for sleeping on. Extremely hard mattress that would require a mattress topper and the stateroom attendant did not have one, so a very uncomfortable sleep for a 3rd person!

Ship tip

Make reservations for dinner otherwise might have to wait a bit to get into your restaurant. Skyline has the same food as the restaurant above and you can wear very casual clothing!

Kona is awesome. Too bad you didn't get to enjoy it. My favorite place on all the islands.
