Review summary

The ship was okay. We felt that the decor should have been more tropical...as this ship only sails to the Hawaiian Islands. The music, food and entertainment should always reflect that. The cigarette smoke on the balconies and certain portions of the ship left a bad impression to us. We couldn't enjoy our vacation fully since we didn't utilize our balcony often because of the cigarette smoke

Food and Dining

The buffet and the restaurants that were included with the price of the stateroom were adequate. Some days the food options were not appealing to us from the buffet\, but we chose to go to one of the free restaurants instead. The times for the buffet....starting at 6pm was a little disappointing. We wanted them to start at 5pm.

Entertainment

We enjoyed the hula lessons\, the luau show\, and the lei-making activities on board. We were expecting more activities during the day though (for those that didn't go on excursions on the island). As most entertainment started at night (at 10pm)...that was just too late for us.

Service and Staff

Several staff were not friendly when asked a question (excursion desk and main desk-atrium and photography area). They either weren't knowledgeable or they just didn't want to be bothered by questions.

Ship Quality

Loved having the hand sanitizers throughout the ship. Very excellent idea!

Cabin / Stateroom

What we expected as far as size. We were expecting a more tropical feel in our staterooms.

Pros: Going to all the Islands

Cons: The smoking on balconies\, having to be on a schedule\, buffet times

Recommends Pride of America? No.
