A great way to see Hawaii

Sail Date: October 07, 2006

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Overall, the ship was very nice. The American theme is different, and the ship is attractive. The atrium was disappointing. It was not an open look so you did not have the spacious feeling in the center of the ship.Newbury Street Shops were well laid out and spacious.

Pros: Being able to go from one island to another without having to pack and fly

Cons: The service and staff

Nawiliwili, Kauai
Went to Poipu beach which was lovely and had good snorkeling right off the beach.
Don't Miss: Waimea Canyon
Kahului, Maui
Wish we had more time here.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling at Molokini Crater and Turtle Arches
Hilo, Hawaii
The hip cruised past the lava flowing at night and there was narration by one of the staff members who is a native Hawaiian. We watched from our balcony but were not able to hear the narration. Better to go to the public areas of the ship for this.
Don't Miss: Volcanoes National Park.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
We went on a dolphin and "nature" cruise which was a waste of time (although we saw dolphins you could see them from the ship tenders)
