Once in a lifetime cruise

Sail Date: July 28, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was small for a cruise ship but it did have everything I wanted.

Pros: Free excursion to the Motu for water sports.

Cons: A bit noisy if you go to bed early.

Recommends Paul Gauguin (RETIRED)? No.

Taha'A, Society Islands
The private Motu.
Don't Miss: Beach barbeque, snorking and water sports.
Moorea, French Polynesia
Rent a buggy and do the circuit.
Don't Miss: Hike into the rain forest...then up to the Belvedere.
Raiatea, French Polynesia
Slept during this one...nothing open.

Papeete, Tahiti
This is where you buy stuff since the selection is the best and the prices the most reasonable. Go walk on the black sand beach. warning: eating out off the boat is very expensive.
Don't Miss: The Market is down town next to the pier...go there.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Smallish island but with plenty to see. Get a bicycle and ride around the island. the circuit takes about 2 hrs if you stop and take pictures.
Don't Miss: The pearl farm is free and shopping there is priced right.
