439 Ovation of the Seas Tips

If you have sailed before on another cruiseline then you maybe able to notice some of the experiences some being better and some noy so on Ovation. We did enjoy the cruise and ship though but did find some days not much to do.

There’s a lot of food to eat. Pick and choose wisely. A lot of it has no taste. Don’t just eat because the food is there.

I would not sail as a Reposition cruise or tender - very disorganized. Also, out of Vancouver, it took almost 2 hours to board. There were 4 check points!!

food was average / jamie's Italian don't bother. Tender ports had long lines give yourself lots of time if you have a tour.

Give a lot of thought to your sea days/port days ratio. We probably will not do another transoceanic cruise. We learned that you cannot depend on getting a good entertainment booking team.

try not to book on deck 13. This is just above the main deck it obstructs your view with the over hanging and pills to support the main deck. The cabin was wonderful but next time I would book from deck 10 to 12

We got the wrist watches to access cabins which were ok. My 8yr old lost her watch twice in the pool though, so they aren’t as secure as hoped. But helpful as kids can be more independent without having to put down or wear the sea pass card. $5 from guest services.
