Review summary

Overall, an “ok” cruise. I feel we overpaid for what we got. They did not have lobster on formal night because they ran out on the previous cruise and did not receive-stock. Many food venues closed early. Entertainment was sub par.

Embarkation

Treacherous!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was very good, service was excellent, but food venues were not open normal hours (closed early). By 8:30 the only thing open on the ship was La Pastierre, Sorrentos and Room Service. Room Service is no longer free. For a cruise line that “pushed” the drink package this did not make much sense to me. What did you expect people to eat after 9 pm? Donuts and coffee??

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not much it was very windy

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I have seen better on other RCL ships

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All service staff was excellent except for the director of guest relations. The VOOM employee took my iPhone off of airplane mode while we were at sea and I incurred over $500 in data charges and ATT put a security data block on my phone. I did not find out about it until we reached land. Her answer to my issue was to train her employee to “not do that again”. I was left with the exorbitant bill to pay. Nothing was offered by RCL to assist- very disappointing!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I liked our cabin- very nice

Ship tip

I would not sail as a Reposition cruise or tender - very disorganized. Also, out of Vancouver, it took almost 2 hours to board. There were 4 check points!!
