Review summary

Wonderful cruise for senior couple with mobility issues. Ship was never crowded with plenty of eating places and lots of great food choices. Few children on this late in the summer cruise made it most enjoyable. Bad weather is the only variable to making this cruise less than memorable.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Just showed passport and walked onboard after luggage was taken by crew.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All dining places were great, at least five onboard this ship, with plenty to choose from and many portions to have anytime.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not applicable for two seniors with ambulatory issues.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Evening performances at both 6:30 and 8:30 were excellent especially the Chinese magician and the musical show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All wait staff worked very hard to please all guests at our dining table, room, and at all eateries. It was as if their livelihood depended on how happy guests were...for sure!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very large ship with over 5000 people onboard but it never felt crowded (after embarking) at any venue but seating was limited if you didn't arrive early for the shows.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Met the expectations with plenty of space for a senior couple.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
The Last Chance Bus Tour to national glacier park was a good stop but crab legs at port dock restaurant were even better.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Bus tour with Big City Tours worked out great with sunshine and great views of the glacier and an extended ride into the Yukon before turning around on the only road in/out of Skagway. Best weather day of the entire cruise.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

3 out of 5
Due to large ice blocks we couldn't get very close to glacier. Slow cruise in/out.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Great tour of city makes us want to return to this city to explore and spend more time there. It's Canada's retirement city and that suits us just fine....

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
no problem, well organied, quick departure through customs.
