Review summary

Large, attractive ship with nice staterooms and public areas. Outdoor decks, long jogging track, rock wall, North Star, iFly, surfing area, and roller rink were nice extras.

Entertainment and shore excursions have been much better on other cruises we have taken.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
A lot of activities occurred at 9:30 to 11:00 and we missed a number of these because of the scheduling overlaps.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
We like singers and comedians and were disappointed in the ship's offerings, which included a couple of juggler/comic acts that we're never very excited about.

Well-designed.

Ship tip

Great if you have kids, but don't expect excellent entertainment. Lunch dining time ends at 1:00 PM, which is extremely early, especially since we got back from Seoul around 10:00 PM the previous night.

Beautiful and fascinating city

Hoi An was a delightful and exotic place. The bike tour around the rice paddies gave us a great feel for rural and small town life in Vietnam. Highly recommend this tour.

Hong Kong

Beautiful city, but the tour guides for the walking tour were very poor. We stood around for long times waiting for them to count all the people to see if everyone was there. They did not speak up, we walked very little, and could have seen much more and learned much more. Don't waste your money on this tour!

Incheon (Seoul). South Korea

3 out of 5
Almost 2 hours from Incheon to Seoul - bad traffic too. Emperor's palace was a special place to go, though. Lunch was good as well. Guide was so repetitious, saying things like: "Are we bus 10? NO - We're bus 9 - are we bus 11? NO - We're bus 9." This was repeated at least 6 or 7 times! We felt like he was talking to little toddlers.

Tianjin (Beijing), China

Guide was good, her English was good, gave great information on China and the Great Wall. The Great Wall of China is something that you must see.
