Think I said it all, in fact getting ready to leave again on another Holland America Line cruise in 2 months. I have cruised on other cruise lines and Holland America has upped the bar from the others and brought me real enjoyment. Thank you Holland America and staff!

We had high expectations based on our previous experiences with HAL but this was nothing like our previous cruises. I realize it has been 6 years since our last cruise with this line but, still, I couldn't believe how everything has been cheapened. As a business owner I understand the importance of keeping costs down but cutting to the point where your product loses all it's customer appeal does not make sense. I spoke with an elderly passenger who cruises about every 6 - 8 weeks and she fiercely defended HAL saying she couldn't understand why everyone was being so critical. My only explanation of this is the boiling frog experiment: If you place a frog in a pot of body temperature water then keep increasing the temperature until the frog boils to death it never realizes that anything is wrong. I think this is the case case with HAL's loyal clientele. The only problem is that those folks are in their 90's and won't be cruising much longer. HAL had better get it's act together.

Had a GREAT time, enjoyed the sea days by the pool. Would have preferred another port instead of two days in Honolulu, but I understand it gave many the chance to visit Pearl Harbor Memorials.

Great cruise. Much to do on your own off ship. Diamond Head, Arizona Memorial, Volcanos National Park, etc. These were GREAT and very inexpensive! Did arrange a GREAT luau on Lahaina; check AAA to find the best one and save TONS of cash compared to cruise ship price!

A wonderful cruise ship with plenty activities to do

Enjoyed every minute of our cruise. Would have liked a few more activities while at sea (that didn’t cost extra). American test kitchen’s contract ends this year so I’d be interested to see what they will replace it with.

We left San Diego good weather nice sail away , all 3 ports were very hot and some rain , had a great time on this cruise

Oh wow, what can I say...we were over whelmed by the attentiveness of the crew. They were amazing. The Captain performed the renewing of our wedding vows ( 50 years) and he was wonderful and did an amazing job. The Oosterdam should be very proud of him and her crew.

We had a wonderful time on this cruise, definitely a relaxing time with good food.

I had a great time! Staff was friendly. I lived trying all the different of varieties of food on the buffet. We enjoyed the excursions.

It was a Beautiful Cruise. Great weather. Nice ship and Great crew.

This repositioning cruise down the Pacific coast from Vancouver to San Diego with stops in Astoria San Francisco and Santa Barbara was excellent

One Night Cruises are fun Highly recommend looking into short cruises. The Oosterdam left from Seattle and sailed to Vancouver. The ship continued onto San Diego and Hawaii. The one night cruises are a lot of fun and these ones are targeted towards people who live in the Seattle and Vancouver areas. We boarded the ship in Seattle and departed promptly at 5pm. We had lunch in the Lido and dinner in the dining room. Afterwards we attended a show in the Main Stage. The next morning the ship docked about 7am and we had breakfast in the Lido and then disembarked. From Canada Place we took a taxi to the Train Station and took an Amtrak Bus back to Seattle. If you’re new to cruising or a long time cruiser, I highly recommend looking into these one night cruises. I’ve posted a video of the trip to my YouTube channel. Search for Edward Travels on YouYube

My wife and I cruise HAL for the great service, excellent food, and cleanliness of ship. It is catered to people that don’t require a lot of onboard activities and can have fun on their own and wish to have a relaxing vacation.

I would never cruise with Holland again. Heard it was the best for Alaska but ship and food were not. Loved Alaskan ports. Pick a different cruise line.

Beautiful Alaska. Wonderful service by cabin stewarts. Would do it again. This was my first cruise.
