13 Night Passage To Rome (Ft. Lauderdale To Rome)
Sail Date: March 21, 2016
Ship: Oosterdam
Cabin Type: Balcony
Cabin Number: 8143
Traveled As: Couple

We completely enjoyed the transatlantic cruise on the Oosterdam. Our balcony cabin was larger than many other cruise lines we have sailed on. The service was great all around. Our room attendant was flexible in his cleaning times as we were very lazy, brought us ice, extra towels whenever we asked quickly. Dining room and specialty wait staff were excellent as well. Shore excursions were interesting and competitively priced. We also made Rome hotel, transfer and air arrangements with HAL. They had staff at the hotel and at the airport that were very helpful. This was our 5th HAL cruise and we will surely cruise with them again.

Aft extended balcony which was out of the wind and plenty of sun as we were going east. Seemed larger than most other cruiselines.

Ship Tip

Take advantage of Room Service as your morning alarm clock.

Definitely tour the island. Very steep mountains and beautiful scenery.

We went to Mijas, a mountain village outside Malaga. Beautiful with quaint whitewashed buildings

Can walk from ship to heart of city easily. Nice shops, restaurants and Roman theater.

We love Rome! Great walking city. See the newly restored Trevi Fountain (at night if possible).
