Worst Royal Caribbean cruise I’ve been on in a long time.

Food and Dining

We had the unlimited dining package and honestly we should have just got the 3 day package instead. The food was great but there was only 4 places to pick between (Chops Grille, Wonderland, Izumi, and Giovanni’s) for 8 dinners and 4 lunches and there was no difference between lunch and dinner menus with the exception of chops including a burger. The menus also seemed smaller than usual. For example Izumi’s only had about 6 regular rolls and 3 signature rolls to pick from, none of which had raw fish it was all cooked. Examples are California rolls with crab, and crunchy tuna roll with cooked tuna. We also did lunch at playmakers one day and everything was pretty good except the nachos they were loaded with too much cheese sauce that made the whole thing a soggy mess.
Onboard Activities

Most disappointing entertainment on a cruise ever! There was zero comedy shows at all. Only 3 main shows for the entire 8 day cruise and one of them was on the last day only. Sea days were horrible during the day with only the occasional trivia and coloring sessions planned and with the main pool being shut down everyday (not an exaggeration) due to parents letting unpotty-trained kids into the pool there was hardly anything to entertain the kids. No water slides and they took out the trampoline area and the virtual reality room with no replacement activities. Not to mention they didn’t have the bumper cars and laser tag nearly enough. They also had this beautiful music hall but it was pretty much empty the whole time because they either had nothing going on or had orchestra or the late night club parties.Ifly was awesome but it’s a one time thing unless you want to pay a small fortune and the North Star was cool but not as exciting as I thought it would be.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was great. It was an obstructed balcony but had a decent view still. Only complaint is that instead of the balcony beds for the boys they had the couch pull out to a double bed for the kids to share and it was very hard to get past to the balcony when it was open.
Ship tip
I wouldn’t recommend this boat but if you’re going bring some cards or board games for the long entertainment-less sea days.
Hate the over industrial feel of coco cay. Too many day beds and things to be rented that were empty and on the way because they are charging too much.
Wow, I was on this cruise and thought it was fantastic! Very easy to know how many restaurants there are for your UDP (4 is pretty standard). Also have to disagree on the entertainment, we saw a different show every single night, and felt the quality of the talent was really good. We experienced what we thought was one of the best crews we have come across recently as well. Also, with a little planning you would have known the trampolines were removed from all Royal ships well over a year ago due to safety and injury concerns.
