Cabin number: GUAR

Review summary

We were disappointed in the buffet and dining area, crowded and the food arrangements didn't seem to make sense in groupings. Also felt that the ship should have alternative plans as I understand these strikes are well advertised in advance and I felt that this should have been planned for.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Because of long excursion times we didn't get to participate in many activities. The ones we would have liked were when we weren't on board. We did love the Aqua Show.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Aqua show was fabulous. The performers in CATS were great but did not care for the play.

Children's Programs

No child

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The room steward was excellent. We ate at the buffet and were disappointed with the food and accommodations.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
We had a balcony overlooking Central Park and liked that. I found common areas clean. I think it is too big a ship, seemed long distances to go for things.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was comfortable and clean. Had a problem with the sliding doors on the closet but a maintenance man came quickly and fixed the doors.

Ship tip

Check your excursions for length and when leaving the ship. We always had to get up very early to make our excursions.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

4 out of 5
We did an excursion and it was very good.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

liked this port and went to Plano, unfortunately because of a downpour couldn't enjoy the place.

Marseille (Provence), France Did not visit port

The ship was scheduled to stop but spent the day at sea because of a strike. This was one of the places we really wanted to stop at and were disappointed that alternatives were not available and we were not compensated.

La Spezia, Italy

Visited Florence, did not spend time in the port

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Same spent the day in Rome, wish there was a closer port.

Naples, Italy

We went to Pompei and I was impressed.

Disembarkation

Sorry you missed a port. It sounds like you enjoyed many other ports.
