Review summary

I just think this cruise was very underwhelming compared to the ones I've been on in the past. The activity selections/timing weren't great for the most part. I was bored most of the time. I've actually decided to stop cruising for a while based on this experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining food was the best on the ship. Windjammer breakfast was also quite good but lunch/dinner options were the same every single day (in the past they would normally rotate it).

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center was nice. Wasn't impressed with the pools. The zip line was quite small.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Musicians were great, DJ had awful music selections. The illusionist was fantastic, comedians were just okay, both royal theaters performances were terrible, the aqua show was incredible! Overall there were hits and misses.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was terrible, it was like pulling teeth to get him to clean our room once a day. Wait staff was great all around!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very clean and well maintained. No issues there.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Size was decent, the ocean view was not great. The windows made us quite dizzy so we kept them closed the entire time. They were also very rusty and unappealing to look at.

Ship tip

Pack some board games and books, you will have a lot of boring downtime.

Sounds like a "you" problem. Cruising is what you make of it and it's not for everybody. Maybe cruising is just not for you and that's ok. Glad you're taking some time off of cruising. Hope you find something you really enjoy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊

Too many sea days can be a bit boring. Try cruising again on a port intensive cruise, maybe a 7 day cruise with 5 or 6 ports you would find interesting. We are not sea day people.

If cruising is boring, another vacation might be a option.
