Overall we had a good time but we will probably never go on an Oasis class ship again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Probably the easiest embarkation process we've experienced. Took maybe 30-40 minutes to get onto the ship after being dropped off at the port.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We appreciated the multitude of complimentary dining options; the only issue was finding a seat. Everywhere was insanely crowded! We also ate at Izumi, Giovanni's Table, and Chops Grille - all of which were delicious.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We didn't actually do any of the slides, rock climbing, Flowrider, etc, but they all looked fun! We never went in any of the main pools due to overcrowding but we really enjoyed the pool and hot tubs in the solarium.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We saw the Frozen in Time ice show, Aqua80 and Cats. Frozen in Time experienced some technical difficulties but was still a great show with very talented skaters. Aqua80 was absolutely amazing, definitely a must-see! Cats is...weird, lol. The cast did an incredible job but the show itself is definitely not for everyone. My husband and I are big theatre people so we were able to appreciate it for what it was but I am not a fan of the show in general.
Service and Staff

Crew was amazing!
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship was definitely clean, and, for the most part, well maintained. We did see a few areas that could use some TLC. The layout is pretty terrible in my opinion, and the ship is all around HOT. Having more outdoor space with the Boardwalk and Central Park meant that more hot air was finding its way into the indoor public spaces and the air conditioning didn't seem like it was able to keep up. We were sweating ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, even inside. I've never been so uncomfortable (temperature-wise) on a ship before.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Outdated furniture, extremely uncomfortable bed, could have used more storage space. Balcony was nice to have, but our balcony door stuck and the handle was very loose. The shower, although tiny, was actually a pleasant experience. I liked having shower doors rather than a curtain. The combination shampoo/body wash was actually pretty nice, and although we could've had better water pressure, a good amount of water came out so it made up for the lack of pressure.
Ship tip
GET TO EVENTS EARLY - at least 30-45 minutes. If the ship is sailing at full capacity you literally won't be able to find a seat anywhere if you try and show up to something within 10-15 minutes of its start time. The venues are TINY for the number of people onboard.
Try and get to El Loco Fresh or Windjammer righttttt when they open for your best chance of getting a table.
It seems like a really fun place, but it was unbearably hot when we went so it was hard to really appreciate it all. We went in the water for relief, ate the "infamous" Shack Chicken Sandwich at the Snack Shack and then got right back on-board as it was just too hot and humid to enjoy the island anymore than that.
We just got off the ship a few weeks ago. Your review sounds a lot like mine. We had a great vacation, but there was just too many people. I love trivia and couldn’t get in anywhere, even arriving 30 minutes early. The solarium was wonderful if you arrived early morning. The wind jammer was a nightmare all the time. The food was good, but there was never anywhere to sit. Balancing a plate and a cup walking around in circles like a vulture waiting for a free table was so stressful. Most of the time I ended up bringing it back to my cabin to eat on my balcony. I’m not sure I would cruise the ship again. Cruise lines are definitely packing us in like sardines now to get their moneys worth.
Good review thank you! I’m with you on Cats, I saw it at the theatre years ago and liked the music but didn’t really get the story at all, always thought it was a strange choice for a cruise ship!
