Food and Dining

We did 2 specialty restaurants this time for my son's birthday: Izumi Sushi....I don't eat fish/ sushi but my son said it was delicious and a lot of food! I had the teriyaki chicken which was very good. Central Park 150...very nice atmosphere. Excellent food! We had lamb wellington and beef tenderloin. For dessert, the fried cheese cake !! Delicious! Windjammer was okay. Smaller than the WJ on other ships but a decent variety of food. I always found something to eat. (Usually TOO MUCH...LOL) MDR was good. Had brunch there a few times. Great service and the French Toast was delish! Loco Fresh and Portside BBQ were yummy! Cafe Promenade , Solarium Bistro, and Park Cafe had lots of yummy snacks . Sorrentos pizza was great for a quick slice ...or 2! Enjoyed Sugar Beach Quadruple Chocolate ice cream! A nice treat on a very hot day! The Diamond Lounge had a very good selection of pre dinner appetizers.

Onboard Activities

Solarium Pool and Hot Tubs were great! Enjoyed the Sun Garden. My son had a spa treatment and he said it was great. We did the Sip. Tour. Brunch. That was absolutely wonderful! Jenny did a great tour of the galley. And the unlimited champagne and food were amazing! The brunch was delicious as well. The Key lunch and breakfast were yummy and a very relaxing way to start and end our cruise! The SMOKE FREE casino on deck 4 is the best addition to the cruise! Thank you! It is small but I am grateful for it! Now I can gamble!

Royal Promendade

Great area to sit and people watch or listen to the music or grab a slice of pizza. A few shopping venues as well as Boleros and Karaoke.I enjoyed the 70s Dance Party.

Solarium

The Zen Garden was quiet.Enjoyed the pool and hot tubs away from the main pool area. The Solarium is always my favorite on the ships!

Whirlpools

Thank you for adding a completely SMOKE FREE casino away from the main one. I can finally gamble on a cruise!

The performer in the Schooner Bar was great. (Giles Edmonds) Music in Boleros was fun. The 70s Dance Party performers were fun and entertaining.

Service and Staff

Kirk, our room steward was fantastic and very attentive to our needs. He made a special towel animal in the shape of a birthday cake for my son! All the waiters, bartenders ,and venue staff were great! Always smiling and hardworking!

Ship Quality

I like the layout of the neighborhoods. Very well designed! All areas were well maintained and clean. My only complaint is having the open casino near the MDR entrance on deck 4. The smell of the smoke was awful while waiting to get into the dining room. I wish they would completely close off the casino and the smoke.

Cabin / Stateroom

Promenade view deck 7. It was fun to "people watch" from our room. It was nice having 2 sofas/couches instead of one. Room was regular size for interior. Plenty of storage space. One outlet by desk to charge phones, etc. Clean and well maintained. The cabin was in a great location! Close to elevators, Central Park, Royal Promenade!

Ship tip

Pace yourself! Don't try to check out all the neighborhoods in one day! Check out Park Cafe on deck 8 for paninis, salads and soup!

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

No excursion. We live in Bayonne so it was a quick 2 minute ride to the port. We had the Key and got on super quick! Cape Liberty is very organized. I love sailing from there!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Rented a daybed at Breezy Bay. Best decision ever! Well worth the $199 price. We also did the Up, Up Away balloon ride. That was amazing! Spent most of the day at Oasis Pool. Very refreshing. There were a lot of people but it still didn't feel crowded. Didn't spend much time at the beach because there were a lot of jellyfish in the water. But the view of the water from the daybed was nice and relaxing! Drinks and food were great. Love the Shack Burger and funnel cake.

Nassau, Bahamas

No excursion planned. We just visited the new port area. It was a nice stroll through the shops. Had some gelato and bought a few souvenirs. Returned to ship after an hour.
