Review summary

If you are just enjoying for the first time it’s a great way to relax. Try out every feature of this ship possible.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A little crazy at first when you arrive but it can be troublesome as people are going in at the same time. But when you get in just hand your luggage off and it will be sent to your room

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Some freebie options that never disappoint but if you need alcohol and other good stuff you need to pay.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Has very good amenities. Need to go to the gym next time to work off the food

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Good entertainment, shows were excellent. Need to arrive early for good seating.

Cabin / Stateroom

Small to my liking. But easy to enjoy. Has a balcony to the interior of the ship. Next time I’ll get the outside balcony.

Ship tip

As a first time on the cruise I didn’t think to book excursion. Next time to get the full experience just book the shore excursion to get the fullest experience.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise! It took us 8 cruises before we finally used the gym on board! We always had good intentions to go to the gym, but didn’t. Taking the stairs, walking & swimming on excursions did provide some exercise. Now that we’ve used the gym & actually enjoyed it, we’ll make sure to work it into our daily routine to counteract all those extra calories we consume! And you can’t beat the view!

Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. Appreciate your detailed review. Every cruise is a learning experience. Now you have the basics, your next one should be even better. Another thing to keep in mind for the next time, be sure you have cabins above and below. Glad you enjoyed your first cruise.

Yup, the sad story of the “cheaper” lines. A lot of add-ons like soda and up and paying crew salary (aka mandatory ‘tips’). But sounds like an overall good first cruise.
