Review summary

Royal Caribbean NEEDS to move the smoking section away from the pool deck, ice cream stations and children's activities and penalize (financially) vapers for smoking outside of designated area, it's chronic. Sorrento's Pizza is a brilliant concept offering always open, hot, fresh pizza on demand, and that's it. There is a bar on one side and a coke machine on the other side. The line moves fast, and it is no nonsense - pizza on demand! The crew deserves a shoutout, they work really hard to keep us to name a few things, happy, entertained and safe and all while being pleasant and personable. Thank you!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining rooms are nice and well appointed.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools, surf rider, entertainment, ice show, water show, Cats, were all enjoyable.

Children's Programs

Teen club needs more organized activities spaced throughout the day. With 200+ teens on board, it is unrealistic to have one dodgeball time, one soccer time, one basketball time.

I enjoyed the extra space of the Junior Suite with a surprising walk in closet! Our cabin attendant made up the couch as a bed on the first day and we never saw the couch again. If that is the way 'it is done' then replace the couch with a bed, otherwise, return the room to its original state daily.

Ship tip

Book a diner time. The My Time Dining requires you to queue up in long long lines when you want to eat.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Beware! We had to stand in a 75 minute line to slide down Daredevil's Tower at Thrill Water Park. It is reminiscent of Disney. You pay a lot of money to stand in long lines forgoing the opportunity to ride more than once or enjoy the entire island. Royal should work on this - think fast pass, scheduled time by bracelet or another method.

We went on a bicycle tour and as the tour started so did the rain. The tour shares the main road with cars, trucks, no protection. The tour was just o.k., but, when it was thundering and the pot holes were filled with water and could no longer see their depth I asked if we had an option to return to the ship and was told 'no'. There were two tour guides, certainly one could have led us back the two blocks to secure the bikes, but was told they would not do it. I'm giving this an ok because navigating the rain, pot holes, and traffic did not allow for looking up or sight seeing which was the main reason for the tour.
