Beautiful ship with lots to do. It was my husband’s first cruise and he loved it. Voom Internet is well worth it, fast and easy to connect. I needed to buy it because I needed to keep in touch with home. The App is really easy and user friendly.
Don’t rely on negative reviews about how crowded the ship is or how bad the shows or the food is. A Cruise is what you make of. Go with an open mind and you will have the time of your life. Great value.
Embarkation

Beside the chaos that the Miami Marathon created that weekend, after we got to the port everything was pretty smooth and fast. We stayed in a hotel that normally will take 6 minutes to get to the Port, it took us 2 1/2 hours because all of the streets and tunnels closed. It was a disaster. But it wasn’t Royal’s fault nor the port’s. We knew ahead of time of the Marathon and made the necessary arrangements, still it was worse than we imagined. A piece of advice: check for activities near the port for your specific sailing since it can be a little bit (a LOT) hectic.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate at the main dining room almost every day. Except for 2 nights that we had Sushi on Izumi and the other night we tried Solarium Bistro. Our favorite thing of Solarium Bistro was the dessert selection. Food was overall great and good, never bad. We tried things we never thought of. Service was superb. Omkar and Ronald were excellent waiters and assistant waiter.
Onboard Activities

From Bingo to Trivia, there’s something for everyone in this ship. Pool side live music etc. Carousel was beautiful.
Entertainment

We loved the Aqua 80 show, CATS, Frozen in Time, we loved every show. I don’t know why people keep complaining about the CATS production. Is well worth our time. Really beautiful we really enjoyed it. To this date I still play the Cats Soundtrack on Spotify and it makes me feel like I’m back at the ship.

Ship tip
Book your shows pre cruise on the cruise planner. If you are going to try any speciality restaurant, consider buying a dinning package on the cruise planner as well before your cruise. You will save some money. Don’t try to do it all at once, take your time to relax and take it all in. You will love this ship.
Thanks for your review. I am deciding between Oasis and Wonder for my next cruise, based on itineraries. Wonder is obviously new, and more expensive. I know Oasis had its refresh but did that include the cabins? Were the beds firm/hard/soft?
