Review summary

This cruise was a VAST improvement over what we experienced on Symphony the week before Christmas. The crew all seemed to want to be there, and to be in great spirits. The Pandemic and return to sailing have been VERY hard on the crews, however the crew of the Oasis has really seemed to hit their stride. We already cannot wait until next year!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was OUTSTANDING! From the time we exited our Uber(10:05) to the time we sat in the terminal (10:20) the longest we stopped was at the bathrooms, and to have our passports scanned! A far cry from the old counters at Port Everglades for our first cruise 10 years ago!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food in the Main Dining Room was absolutely Phenomenal, as was Izumi, Park Cafe, Portside BBQ, and El Loco Fresh. The Breakfast fare in the Windjammer was not great, Lunch was OK, and Dinner was slightly better.

Service and Staff

Our Stateroom Attendant, Bintang (or just BIN) was absolutely PHENOMENAL. The best we have had in our time cruising, and a refreshing reset from our previous 2 cruises, where our SRA was terrible at best.

Ship Quality

The Oasis Class is the best class, by a long shot. Never feels crowded at all!

Cabin / Stateroom

We have stayed in this type of room 2 times previously on both Oasis and Allure. However, this time, the Air Conditioning in the room didnt seem to be able to keep up with the outside temps. The listed floorspace on the websites does not account for the sloped area where the window is at the front of the ship, so you actually have 20+ square feet more of usable space.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Miami as a port, is great. Not a huge fan of the city itself.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

FINALLY MADE IT HERE! everything about This Island is incredible. RCI Really hit the nail on the head, and drove it home.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We had 2 different excursions canceled here, finally our 3rd went off without a problem. Beautiful island, friendly people.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Probably my favorite island in the Caribbean. Go see Brian, the beach Manager at the Blue Bitch Bar. He's usually got the best prices for Chairs and Beers

Disembarkation

Our departure number (53) was called at 0905. with picking up our luggage, we were in a Taxi by 0925.
