Oasis of the Seas

7 Night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day (Miami Roundtrip)

Sail date: March 27, 2022

Ship: Oasis of the Seas

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Review summary

This was our first cruise since covid, we were happy we did not need masks on board, St Thomas required them, but no one was wearing them. So happy our covid testing went well, and we were able to board. We met people from all over the country and had a great time, can't wait to go again next year!

Embarkation

Miami cruise terminal was very nice, everything seemed very well organized. All the people we encountered during the process were very professional, and we were onboard quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the MDR for most dinners, Windjammer for most breakfasts, and other compimentary venues for lunch. We were satisfied with all of them. Our waiters in MDR, Eric and Jaime were awesome.

Portside BBQ

5 out of 5

Ate here once, it was fantastic! Wish they would add this to other Oasis ships. Prices and portions were good too.

El Loco Fresh℠

5 out of 5

We had lunch here, everything was good. They serve some food, but let you help yourself to toppings. Kind of defeats the purpose of limited handling of utensils.

Playmakers℠ Sports Bar & Arcade

5 out of 5

We stopped by to watch a BB game and had a stack of onions rings, they were good, service was good too.

Sorrento's Pizza

5 out of 5

I like Sorrento pizza, nice they stay open late!

Park Cafe

Enjoyed fresh salads and some delicious cookies here.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We watched some people on flo riders and played mini golf.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed all the onboard entertainment with the exception of Cats, we left early. Aqua 80, Frozen in Time, the comedians and Mark Preston of the Letterman were wonderful.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had very good service from everyone we encountered. Servers, room steward, waiters in MDR, customer service, even sales people. Everyone seemed happy!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was our first time on Oasis. Our central park balcony cabin seemed smaller that the same cabin on Harmony. I did not like the closet location, it was more difficult to get at, but we had plenty of room for our things. Everything was clean on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin attendant did a wonderful job keeping our cabin clean and our ice bucket full

Ship tip

Watch some videos before you go to familiarize yourself with the layout. Try to leave your cabin in the same direction each day, seems to help finding places on the ship as the week goes in

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Did a tour if the island and up to Mountaintop. What great views! Next time I would choose a beach excursion, maybe Emerald Bay. There were many iguanas on the rocks entering the port, and we got some great pics.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Our favorite port! Friendly people, beautiful water! They do pester you alot on the beach, but its still our favorite.
