Nice relaxing cruise and first one back crushing since 2020. This ship is huge, plenty do to and not to do if so inclined. Port of Miami is nice. Are definitely going again! In December actually.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Arrived via a hotel shuttle to Port of Miami cruise terminal. The luggage handling was excellent and we were standing on the promenade deck 5 seamlessly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We did MDR for all dinners. The meals/choices were delicious. It sure beats cooking at home!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We didn’t participate this trip. We did watch others (flow rider) and this was enjoyable.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We missed Cats, the headliner show. The show was canceled for the night we reserved. No reason given and it was moved the last night on board. Our luggage needed to be outside our cabin by 10pm, the same time the show ended. Not a good reschedule! The shows we did see were great as always!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Wait staff in MDR was excellent, and all staff in general were happy to see us and were gracious and friendly. No complaints.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Love the Oasis. The neighborhoods were well planned. Our stateroom was forward and windjammer was aft. So each day for breakfast we had a choice, deck 5 through promenade or deck 8 Central Park to walk to aft elevators.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Ocean front stateroom much more space than or normal inside cabin. The ocean view window was large but salted up. Not sure how this could be avoided on the bow of the ship. Nevertheless, very nice room.
Ship tip
The deck maps in the app are invaluable as well as the maps by elevators. Learn your way around.
Did excursion to teguila , chocolate and bees. Did a nice ritual with Mayan shaman at the bee stop. Then we stopped at Senior Frogs,! Don’t remember much afterwards.
Always small lines….. but, who’s in a hurry to leave. We were in last groups getting off and it was not that crowded. We took the transfer bus to Miami airport. Our flight was later in the day. That’s the way I would plan it.
