Review summary

Thanks to the great staff and the ease of obtaining wheelchair assistance and tenting a scooter and walker, my 83 and 87 year old parents had a wonderful, memorable trip with me and their granddaughter. They were nervous about going and by mid-week they were ready to book another cruise. Thank you Royal Caribbean!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Could not have been easier. We were prepared with our Royal Caribbean app and COVID test results but I mainly wanted to comment on how wonderful the wheelchair pier assistance was which made embarkation for my 80 year old parents a breeze. Their anxiety melted away and we had a wonderful trip!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Loved the main dining room and enjoyed our evening meal there together each night. Windjammer was too crowded and crazy so only went there once for breakfast. We much preferred the Cafe Promenade. The El Lova was also very good near the sport courts.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Took full advantage of all the pools. The solarium pool was overcrowded. My daughter enjoyed the sport court volleyball and dodgeball activities and we had fun watching belly flop and sexy man contests too. Great variety!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
A mix here. Brandon in the Globe and Atlas gets the crowd going. Fun any night. James, piano bar lacked that skill but is a talented player. Would have preferred a more high energy musical like Annie rather than Cats but love, loved both the Aqua80 show and the Frozen Ice Show. Incredible talent!!

Service and Staff

All ship personnel was tip top!

Ship Quality

Very well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was a nice size for an interior. Even the bathroom and shower. The shower pressure was great. Anything we asked for was delivered - extra blankets, extension cord, etc.

Ship tip

Take in the Karaoke- I don’t aing but had a blast watching everyone else. We went several nights.

Swimming with dolphins excursion was great!

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Did a tour of chocolate factory and rum cake factory which was interesting and they were very accommodating for elderly mother and her walker.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
The port’s market is very nice but difficult to find your way out of if you need to get beyond it to get to your excursion. I’m still insure if that nice pool area right in the center of market is free? If so, wish would would have just stayed there! That information would have been helpful to know ahead of time.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Again, Royal Caribbean made this a breeze for those needing wheelchair assistance. We showed up at designated place and were wheeled right past the line and out to the elevators to the luggage claim area. Felt like VIP which was just wonderful to not feel drained and stressed. Made it enjoyable for my senior parents
