Feeling confident that Royal Caribbean is doing a lot to mitigate encountering contagions either in the air or on contact surfaces. It was a fun cruise - our first in over 2 years and it was good to be out and about again. Can't wait till the next one!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Getting on board has never been faster or easier. We got there ahead of our appointed time and sailed right through the onboarding process. Of course we did a lot of the documentation in the app on our phones. The biggest choke point was the first one where they ask twice for the Covid-19 negative test results. People seemed to have the most trouble finding them.

Food and Dining

We ate in the main dining room on My Time each night. The service was good but the food seemed to have taken a bit of dip from previous experiences. The staff seemed new and a bit raw at service. I think our waiter said he had been on board only about 2 weeks (including our week).
Onboard Activities

Activities were fine. We did not participate in many.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The best part of Royal Caribbean is the shows! Excellent productions and not rivaled on land or sea. Mike the cruise director is a delightful MC and singer. I am glad to see him again on the Oasis although he used to be on the Allure. He said he was furloughed 21 months and was glad to be back too. There is a new energy on board!
Service and Staff

Our room steward was wonderful! Knew us on sight by name by day 2. We had heard they were cutting down on creating towel animals to every other day and that seemed about right. We got 3 on a 7 day cruise.
Ship Quality

They were always cleaning. The reconfiguration for Windjammer has you wash your hands first while entering with real soap and water at sinks. The food attendants ladle the food to your plate, making less contact on handles. All of this is appreciated and made us feel safer.
Cabin / Stateroom

We love ocean balconies and this room met our expectations. However the noisy neighbors made for a less pleasant experience. Hopefully our next cruise will have quieter neighbors.
Enjoyed our favorite excursion again - cooking school at Playa Mia with beach time. Could have stayed much longer - especially with the unlimited drinks!
The coach tour of the history of the island was a little lame and not advertised as a beach excursion which is where it ended up. The advertised chocolate tasting was a corner of a bar where they had minute pieces of chocolate bars they were selling cut up in a dish. Lame.
Enjoyed the Mayan Ruins about 50 minutes from the port. Aldo was a great tour guide. We did get separated from our friends since they didn't realize there were 3 busses and they got on the first and we got on the third.
We carried off our luggage and went through customs by just looking into a camera (so that the facial recognition will compare against your photo). Then on to an everglades air boat excursion in Miami and delivery to the Fort Lauderdale airport.
