This was our Very First Cruise EVER. This was to celebrate our 50th Anniversary; we are 70 and 72, and we cannot wait to sail on the Oasis again very soon, bringing our whole family.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very organized and smooth embarkation experience.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main dining room meal experience was excellent. We did not feel the need to do any specialty restaurants. Windjammer experience was absolutely fine for a buffet.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was plenty do; so much to do, we need another cruise on the Oasis to complete.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Shows were limited from what I hear, but we found them ample and very enjoyable.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room service, Alain Gonzales, was right on top of any needs and anticipated anything we might need. Michael and Savio in MDR were very professional, Michael comes off very polished; extremely top notch treatment in Main Dining Room Deck 4, Table 626.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Every part, every nook and cranny of the Oasis was spotless.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was the very first time on a cruise ship for us. At first We felt we might not have room for everything, as of course I overpacked, but there was plenty of room for everything. My husband uses a scooter and an oxygen concentrator, so those two machines made it a challenge to maneuver in the room, but we probably will upgrade next cruise; it was not for the size of the room, it was for mainly the size of the scooter. Overall, plenty of room.
Ship tip
Check out Deck 8, Park Cafe…. We missed the chance to try their roast beef sandwiches and paninis. So pleasant just sitting up in Central Park area.
Again, this being our very first cruise we did not know what to expect. Also, my husband uses a scooter so he has limitations. Disembarkation experience was so organized and smooth; very easy no quick with face recognition.
This is what happened to me. Went on my first cruise after much begging and pleading from my significant other, then the next year we took both of our families and boom, we're all addicts. Happy belated anniversary. So glad you enjoyed it. ☺
Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. Better late to this amazing adventure than to miss out. We agree cruising is a great way to celebrate 50 years together. Congratulations!
Glad you had a great first experience!! Once you start cruising, it can become an addiction! Lol.
You picked the biggest and best ship class for starting your cruising adventures... Try out all 4 of the Oasis class ships. Each are slightly different and have their own character... We will be on the sister ship Harmony for our 13-day Transatlantic in 2 week!!
Welcome to the cruise family!! 🙂
