Review summary

We were happy with the guidelines that ensured the health and safety of the passengers and crew members.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
In addition to our passports,, we had to show our original COVID-19 vaccine record card and the results of the COVID-19 tests which were on our phones. Boarding was quick due to lower amount of passengers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate mostly at the solarium bistro and the main dining room for vaccinated guests only. We also ate once at the Izumi Hibachi which only served vaccinated guests.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I enjoyed participating in the Fitness Dance Class outdoors on the Sports Court. They were conducted on sea days. Because of social distancing, the capacity of the outdoor pools were for 7 or 9 people at a time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We attended the vaccinated guests only ice show, aqua show, Cats production, etc. All the entertainment and live music was fantastic. Not much luck at the casino which was only open to vaccinated guests.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful crew and very attentive to all your needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Strolling through Central Park was very relaxing with all the trees, plants and flowers . All other areas were beautifully decorated and constantly being cleaned.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We chose the balcony because we like the ocean view and we can eat some meals outdoors.

Ship tip

Download the royal app so you can make reservations to choose dates and times for dining, shows and other activities. Read the Compass for making daily plans.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Took an independent excursion that included a visit to the Atlantis hotel. The security guard checked our temperature and our COVID-19 vaccination card before we were allowed entry. Many shops were opened even though it was election day. I was impressed that masks were required to be worn even outdoors to safeguard the health of their community.

Port Canaveral, Florida

2 out of 5
Shuttle left us in a parking lot that was a long walk to Cocoa beach. The beach was clean and had lifeguards but no bathrooms, showers or places to eat. Long walk back to the parking lot to wait for the shuttle back to the ship. We went to the Ron Jon Surf Shop where many of the customers were not wearing masks. Not required. I would not recommend this excursion.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
After eating breakfast at the Windjjamer restaurant we returned to our stateroom and waited until our assigned departure time was announced on the tv. There was no long wait or crowded elevator. It was great!

I will be sailing Oasis ( my first RC cruise) in 123 days🎉 Sound like a beautiful ship. Do they seat vaccinated guests together in the MDR? I will be traveling solo and enjoy sitting with others at dinner. Thanks for the review.
