We have cruised Allure which was a wonderful experience. We have oasis booked for a future cruise. If you didn't enjoy an oasis class ship, not sure what you want. Maybe try a smaller ship.

The wife and myself has sailed Carnival a total of nine times and RCCL Twice. Our last cruise was on Carnival SUNRISE which Carnival packed entirely too many passengers on that ship. The ship had at least 1000 more passengers which made the cruise uncomfortable and too packed and that's why Our next cruise shall be with Royal Caribbean on Oasis Of The Seas

Glad it was a good experience even though not exactly what you had anticipated!

Unfortunately, sounds like nothing would be good enough.
