Overall the cruise was good. The only improvement would be another sea day. I feel like there were things onboard I didn't get to do because I was busy with everything else.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
No problems. Quick and easy check in, and we were off.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We went to Sabor the second night. It was good. The sweet and spicy margarita was the best.
Izumi Hibachi & Sushi
5 out of 5
We weren't sure what to expect but Izumis is a great hibachi restaurant on the ship. Our cook was funny and entertaining. The food was delicious. Definitely go here.
Chop's Grille
5 out of 5
Excellent last dinner onboard the ship. My steak was perfect, and our waiter was quick with the service.
American Icon Grill
5 out of 5
We went here two nights. The wait staff was different each time. The food was so good. We both had lamb chops the first time. They were delicious. The second time was a formal night after a very busy day of seeing Pompei, Sorrento, and Capri. I had a seafood pasta which was good. My son had steak which was medium well instead of medium rare. He still ate it, but that was the only complaint, and mostly because we were exhausted.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I only gave these a three because we had full itineraries, so only got to go to the pool and hot tubs twice. My son did zip lining and the rock wall twice and had fun.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Cats was a good show. The aqua theater show was fun, but quick too. I saved the comedian for the last night. It was ok. I know my tired level had everything to do with the lower ratings. I almost forgot to review the competition on the fourth night ( I think). It took place in the sports bar and was funny. Onboard entertainment is never lacking.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We got upgraded to an outside balcony from our Central Park facing balcony. Our cabin was always well maintained. This was our first cruise I actually never saw our room attendant after embarkation. I know he came through morning, noon, and night though.
We did the Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri excursion. It was a long full day that followed a long full day. We stayed in Praiano a few years ago and knew we wanted to come back to see Pompeii. I would have loved a combo of Pompeii and any beach.
I wished we had more time here. We've been to Rome before and still haven't done all we want to do! We did a Viator tour of the Sistine Chapel and Vatacombs.
We did the HOHO bus here. It's not the typical type HOHO bus, it starts from specific location and rides a specific route, no stops. It was ok. We saw what we wanted to see, did some shopping, and got back to the ship.
I only gave this stop three stars because I would rather have done a different excursion. We went to Dratch caves, which were nice to see, but would next time choose a water related option or take advantage of ship amenities.
