Enjoyed my time at the port destinations but time on the ship was not the best experience. This was my first cruise and it was far less pleasing than what I hoped for. In speaking with other passengers that have gone with other cruise lines in the past,
Oasis of the Seas Cruise Review to Europe - Western Mediterranean
Felt like if I decided not buy something on the ship got less customer service. Should be more items included in the package, whether you got a set number of drinks / beverages ($4.00 for one can of ginger-ale to settle ones stomach is just ridiculous) during the trip and maybe a dinner for 2 or 3 days out of the 7 days at a specialty restaurant to add some variety to the overall experience.

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Overall the food experience was okay but found that Royal Caribbean was constantly targeting getting more money from the passengers. This was definitely not an all inclusive experience. RC should include certain beverages, more than water (not bottled), mango flavored water, lemonade and tea and offer more restaurants you can eat at that is included in the ticket cost. Also, not everyone drinks $500+ per person of alcoholic drinks within 7 days, so having a package that is more moderately priced would have been appreciated. Maybe offer a dual package with alcoholic and soda beverages that has a limited # of each during the 7 days that is reasonably priced.
Onboard Activities

Because the weather was cool during my trip, to have an indoor pool as an option would have allowed me to enjoy the pool.
Entertainment

Enjoyed the offered shows that I was able to attend
Children's Programs
No children came with me
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Felt like the service was more geared towards trying to get passengers to buy things / spend more money (equate to being at a car dealership) and if you were not interested you could see the level of attentiveness & service from whom ever you’re dealing with immediately decline. It felt like the staff got a commission for selling passengers something. After standing in line at guest services when I finally spoke with someone about the cost of a shuttle bus the cruise line charged ($20/person) to get passengers from the terminal to the city center the person I spoke with was rude and showed her annoyance with answering questions. When I asked what the best locations to see at the port, she gave me a map and actually said “I don’t know I can’t read anything on this map”. The preferred response would have been, let me see if there is someone else that can help you. (I really wonder way, with all the money Royal Caribbean gets both original ticket cost & the extra cost of everything once you get on the ship, Royal Caribbean hires individuals and cannot train them on providing good Customer Service).
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Overall the ships design and the cleanliness of the ship was okay
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Was overall pleased with my cabin, cleanliness was good (stateroom attendant was very personable and responsive to extra needs & requests), would have been nice to have some movie options included in the package that did not cost $11.99 extra per movie.
Ship tip
Be prepared to have a balance to pay by the end of your trip, it’s unavoidable with the $14.50 per person per day charge for gratuity and to just get a beverage other than water (not bottled), lemonade and tea.
It sounds like your travel agent didn't advise you properly. That's too bad as cruising is great adventure! I would definitely say try again. Read tips and reviews. Talk to people on your cruise, friends that cruise, and travel agents so you can be aware of what to expect, what's fun to do, best places to go, etc.
Don’t give up on cruising it’s one of the best values you can get out of your vacation money you just need to do a little bit more research on what included in your cruise fare and what is extra keep on cruising I love to cruise
Sorry u didnt enjoy ur cruise!
