Review summary

We are loyal Royal customers and I have to say this cruise was disappointing! We've been on the Allure as well and I am convinced the big boats don't care about their customers. The food and drinks were awful, cruise director and staff had minimal events going on around the boat. The Windjammer closed everyday at 8:45 pm! That left you with Sorrento's or the Promenade Café for the rest of the night. This trip did me in...no more cruises for a good while!

I'm not crazy about cruise food...But this boats food and beverages were awful! We survived on Sorrento's pizza!

Onboard Activities

This ship had nothing to do! The cruise director makes the cruise and we only saw him twice during our 7 day cruise!

Entertainment

I would recommend you don't see Cat's if you re tired! Its a 2 hour show and it drags!

If you are taking any excursions be prepared to drive for over an hour. By the time you get to the excursion most of your day is over!

Also agree Cruise Director and daytime activities are weak.

Oasis was decent. And last trip the food seemed to have actually improved. Major downside was Port Canaveral sailings tended to attract very seasoned people or families with young kids. Not much in the middle so the night life was a bit dull. As for the buffets closing at 845, I doubt many passengers lost any weight. There are plenty of options to add calories around the clock. We had great service in every venue.

We sailed Oasis 3 weeks ago were also very disappointed, 9 of us. We feel the same way, taking a break from cruising for a while and probably not going to book RCCL, I think we’re going to book with a different cruise line.

We had the same experience

My inlaws feel same way that on smaller boats the staff seems to care more and that food is better too. We booked a 4 day on Oasis in late 2020 because it was cheap and only 4 days to see first hand.
