This was a fantastic cruise. The Oasis was a wonderful ship. I loved her and will be vacationing on her again. I really enjoyed the whole vacation. My son and I had a true bonding experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at 10 and it was the earliest I have ever arrived. I loved the experience. Ten minutes and checked in and waiting. We were the 5th group called in, as we are gold members. When we got to the Windjammer, it was empty. Very nice timing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room was wonderful. I love to go to the Main dining room to meet other cruisers and make new friends. We had wonderful waiters. The food was delicious and the best part is you can try new things, if you don't like it, get something else. WE went to two specialty restaurants. Sabor had a guacamole class that we took. It was very fun and after we were allowed to eat anything off the menu and order a drink. I tried the Avocado Margarita. The food was delicious. In Izumi, my son took a sushi class. He had a great time. I tried his sushi and it was delicious. I didn't think I would like sushi and am now a fan. We only went to the Windjammer twice, I love the Windjammer, however with so many complimentary restaurants, we tried new places. Loved them all.

Park Cafe

5 out of 5

I love the roast beef sandwiches at Park Cafe, they are so good. There is also a make your own salad area that is really good.

Boardwalk Dog House

5 out of 5

There were different types of dogs to choose from, the chicken ones were good. I don't like hot dogs, but my son enjoyed them.

Windjammer Cafe

5 out of 5

We only went here twice. There is always so much to choose from. We tried other places to eat on Oasis, because there are so many.

Candy Beach

3 out of 5

Expensive.... There weren't very many different things too choose from. A lot of the same old candies you can find any where.

Wipe Out Cafe

5 out of 5

This is not as crowded as the Windjammer and is a nice place if you only want a burger or something small. We went there for the ice cream.

Starbucks

5 out of 5

Its starbucks...

Sorrento's Pizza

5 out of 5

Sorrentos pizza is so good. I heard people say they didn't like it, but I did. Especially as a late night snack.

Solarium Bistro

5 out of 5

I went for lunch and they had a nice selection of healthier foods. I wanted to go for dinner as it had more of a variety, but never made it.

Silk

5 out of 5

This is one of the main dining rooms on Oasis and I love the main dining room. I love having the same waiters each night and making new friends,

Sabor

5 out of 5

The food is so good. We did a guacamole make class and was able to order all kinds of things from the menu. We got corn, calamari, i had a quesadilla and my son had tacos and we got banana chimichangas for dessert.

Rising Tide Bar

5 out of 5

This is cute. I rode it up once from deck five to eight when I was heading to bed. I think it is a cute little bar.

Johnny Rockets

5 out of 5

We only went for breakfast, its complimentary and not crowded. It was very good. We were going to try a burger, but never did come back.

Izumi Hibachi & Sushi

5 out of 5

My son did a sushi making class here and he loved it. The sushi he made was very good. I never liked sushi before, now I do...

Café Promenade

5 out of 5

The chocolate mouse is delicious. There are other little sweets to choose from too, I don't care much for sweets. The turkey sandwiches are good too. My son liked these as a late night snack. Coffee is good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was so much to do on the Oasis. The cruise compass is full of activities. My son loved the flow rider and zip line. He did not care for ice skating. We went to the pools around 5 in the evening. It is less crowded at the time, except in port days. We loved the whirlpools because they were so big. The ones in the solarium look like they are looking over the ocean.

Jogging Track

5 out of 5

I like to walk the jogging tracks on every ship. I just like to walk/stroll. On Oasis, there isn't many place to see the ocean unless on the pool deck. You can see it from the track, so I like to walk to track. There is also a quiet sitting area in the aft.

Solarium

5 out of 5

The solarium is nice if you want to be away from children. Its just as crowded as the other pools and whirlpools.

Guest Services and Explorations!

5 out of 5

I only had to go a few times, but they were very helpful and friendly.

Zipline

5 out of 5

I'm afraid of heights, but my son loved the zipline...

Swimming Pools

5 out of 5

The pools are like any other pools. The deepest is 4'9", would like a deeper pool. One pool is salt water, the other three are chlorine. There is a sports pool too. They aren't crowded on port days, but are on sea days. They seem to die down around 5

Whirlpools

5 out of 5

They were big, so they never felt very crowded. I like the ones in the Solarium as they look like you are looking over the water.

Flowrider

5 out of 5

This was a very fun experience...

Center Ice Rink

5 out of 5

I loved the ice rink and the Frozen in time show there. My son did not care for ice skating.

Carousel

5 out of 5

I am a big kid. I loved riding the carousel.

Beach Pool

5 out of 5

Salty... But very fun.. I rather chlorine pools

Entertainment

Theater

5 out of 5

The theater was nicely set up. There were a few spots where the beams are in the way, but it is so big and spacious that its not a big deal.

Studio B

5 out of 5

Studio B is a bit smaller than the Opal theater. It converts into the ice rink. I went here for the show and quest.

Hall of Odds

5 out of 5

There is some interesting facts on the Hall of Odds, this is one of the halls that leads to the casino.

AquaTheater

5 out of 5

We really enjoyed watching movies here and Oasis of Dreams. Oasis of Dreams is the show they had that featured high divers. It was fun to watch.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The entire crew was awesome, whether is was our waiters, the bar tenders, the room attendant or just crew I met walking around the ship. Everyone was very friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I read somewhere that Oasis was showing her wear and tear. That was not my opinion. I thought she was very clean and well kept up. Her design makes it easy to know where everything is. I was afraid of getting lost as I have only been on small ships. Not a problem, never felt crowded either.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Ship tip

Deck 7 aft, you can watch the aqua show if it gets full. Deck 5 aft, there is a nice sitting area if you want to look over the ocean in a more quiet setting. It is the running track, but there are chairs out back so you can sit and relax if you ever want some quiet.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

3 out of 5
We went to the Kennedy Space Center with airport transfer. I want to go back on my own. There were a few things that we were told we didn't have time for, but in fact we would have and was listed on the excursion description. One being the simulation, it lasts 30 minutes. we were in that part of the museum for over an hour. We could have done it, I was not aware it was in that area until too late, but guide already told us no... Also, there was a video in the Saturn area, butwe went in another way and was told the stop was for shopping and eating. I would rather do everything then sit in a gift shop for over an hour. The entire tour was great. The center is so interesting.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
I did not care for the walking tour. The island is beautiful. The island buffet is good. The Dragon Coaster is awesome and has a breathtaking view. I loved this island and will do more next time.

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
We did the island tour and rum tasting. The tour was Ok. Reggae river and Fern Gully were beautiful. My son really liked the river. The food was great. We had lobster and roasted chicken with polenta, hush puppy like thing, greens and rum runner. The rum tasting was OK, I'm not much of a drinker.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
I really like Cozumel because there is so much to do. I'm sure once I see it all I will be bored. This time we went to Xenses. It was very interesting. There was a part where we walk in the darkness by ourselves with no shoes. We walk through different landscapes, like the rainforest, desert, river, etc. I enjoyed this, my son...not so much. Then there was a city where gravity will defy you and the water runs up. It was so cool. After that we go down a water slide, fly on a glider, lazy river, sludge, rain and sauna. I did not like the sludge. It was interesting.
