Review summary

There was a lot of good things about the cruise but also some negative things as well. Our Room steward, Pio was AMAZING! He was probably the nicest guy on the ship. Some of the other staff acted like they really hated their job which made it very disappointing to deal with. The food was okay but to get better options you have to pay extra and I think I paid enough for the trip that I'm not paying a ton extra for food when there are free options. The ship had some neat things that most other ships do not have but there was just way too many people on there at some points. I'm not really sure I will ever go with Royal Caribbean again. I believe i would actually prefer Carnival for now on!

Hmmm you can try smaller rccl ships. But was exactly was EXTRA? Shopping?

Having done both cruiselines we really don't find much of a difference in food quality. No complaints. We've done Oasis and Allure and had a great time. But they are way too big. And very crowded depending on when and what you're doing. I'd say the biggest difference is that the age demographic on Royal is older...hence more subdued. I'm 53 and not dead yet, so prefer the funship line. Just always seems to have alot more going on.

Time of year makes a difference. We went on oasis in February 2017..never felt crowded. Food was great, staff was awesome. And just fyi the food that you pay extra for is def worth the price. Its vacation the point is to enjoy yourself. .personally would do RC over Carnival everytime. But to each their own. 😁

I was actually on this ship a few weeks ago and had pio as our room steward. Maybe try a smaller ship but Royal is the way to go.

Go on a Carnival cruise ship, and leave Oasis to us. I would go on the Oasis again in a heartbeat.

Try one of the smaller ships. They are my favorite ones. I like Grandeur, Serenade, Enchantment, & Jewel
