Review summary

Overall this is one of the best cruises we have been on and definitely the best ship. We usually chose our cruise based on destination as we enjoy exploring the different cultures but this time we chose by ship. We were not disappointed. The Oasis is all it is cracked up to be! Cant wait to try another one of the new ships!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation is always easy at port canaveral - but now that we are gold members for Royal Caribbean it is outstanding. There was no wait - no confusion!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Not the best we have ever had in terms of variety and selection but overall pretty good. The 24 hour pizza restaurant helps a lot!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Ice Skating Rink (show), Outdoor movies, Broadway show (CATS), Beatles concert - all spectacular!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the free weights in the Gym - and the outdoor track was phenomenal!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
On Air Club allowed us to still partake in March Madness! Atmosphere was great in there!

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is spectacular! Royal ships are always clean but this ship is amazing. It has mind blowing features and often it is easy to forget you are on ship at all!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin felt more warm than we would prefer. Not sure if the ship size had something to do with it or not but with the temp as low as it would go - still never got as cool as we would have preferred. (We did not complain or ask if something was wrong with the air) The room was spacious and more comfortable than the lower deck rooms we have had in the past.

Ship tip

Take advantage of the touch screen maps that are located in the lobbies. They will help guide you for the quickest ways to get somewhere!

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
We did the island tour here - seeing both sides of the island. Would highly recommend so you can experience the culture and see the difference between both sides. Afterward, we got dropped off in town (only a short walk from the ship) , rented chairs and spent the rest of the day at the beach. It is beautiful.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We have been to San Juan more than once and love it! This time we did the window cave hike. It was awesome! We got some amazing photos - got to meet some great locals and learn more about the wildlife in San Juan. Sad we didn't get time to visit Old San Juan as we love it but not disappointed in our hike at all!

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Although beautiful, Labadee is more resort like and less cultural. The staff that remains on the island isn't very friendly either. We did the zip line - lots of fun, amazing views from the top- worth the money.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We carried our luggage off and had no issues. Only took about ten minutes in total to get off the ship, go through customs and find our vehicle! What more could you ask for? Everyone is very welcoming when coming back!
