Review summary

We've been on RCL half a dozen times and it has become our favorite cruise line. Beautiful ships and great people. And a great way to spend a week unwinding and relaxing.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
There were long lines but getting aboard was very organized and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent and good choices.

Schooner Bar

5 out of 5

Nice place to meet and enjoy a quiet drink. Wait staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. We met with friends at Schooner's each evening for a pre-dinner cocktail.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Took advantage of the fitness center each day. Bowriders were fun and putt-putt was challenging. A lot of choices and options.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The quality of entertainment was great, but this was our second cruise on Oasis in 3 years and the same shows (Cats & the diving show). The comedians onboard were really funny and enjoyed that show in the Comedy Club.

Theater

5 out of 5

The Opal Theater was beautiful and I have only one suggestion. The metal bar across the tops of the handrail on the balcony and second level is right at eye-level and obstructs the view of the stage for those sitting in those sections. If you could lower that rail to just above the glass panels (maybe 3 or 4 inches), it would improve the viewing. Check it out and sit in one of the seats.....

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The cabin steward and waiter & asst waiter in the main dinning room were great. After the first night we requested the same table each night in order to get Fabian & Alfredo. They made it a lot of fun. We also saw a lot of the maître de & asst ---- they made the dining experience in the main dining room very enjoyable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For a big ship it was easy to get around. And it was kept very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Sorgi kept the cabin very clean. He anticipated our needs and never had to ask for anything. He was great.

Ship tip

Central Park is really nice. The plants in there are beautiful. We loved the concerts in the evening (violin & piano duet).

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Cozumel, Mexico

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
That was the quickest and easiest debarkation we've ever had.
