Review summary

Oasis is way to big of a ship to get personalized attention. I will be cruising smaller ships in the fleet from now on. I was tired of everyone trying to sell things, specialty dining, photos, onboard shopping etc. the drinks were expensive and weak. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. The food was mediocre.

Food and Dining

Didn’t do the specialty restaurants. The main dining room food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed in the food.

Service and Staff

Our room Stewart Marvin was wonderful. Of all the meals in the main dining room with the exception of one was mediocre and the wait service was not the best to say the least. I was very disappointed. We did have one meal that had a tenderloin steak which was wonderful and Mario the head waiter that waited on us was awesome but honestly that was the only night I’d rave about the food on the Oasis.

We have sailed both Navigator and Explorer prior to going onto Oasis and I totally have to agree that you loose that personal touch when your on Oasis it’s just to big a ship and I always though the bigger the ship the better but I will never go back on a mega ship. For meals we really enjoyed our time but we didn’t eat in any speciality dining as don’t we it being worth it..

We have had good service and food on Allure. But on the last Allure cruise I have to agree that the sales pitches are annoying. Especially since we pre purchased everything that you could anyway.

Sailing on Oasis reminded us how much we enjoyed sailing on Liberty. So we booked another TA on Rhapsody for an even smaller ship experience. We go for the in port itinerary as well as the sea days. Freedom Class on a transatlantic was awesome all the way around so we're looking forward to our Vision Class Transatlantic on an older refitted ship with all the days at sea....it took cruising on a mega ship for 7 days to know we preferred a longer cruise on a smaller ship!

Couldn't agree more. The Freedom Class is the absolute best.
