This was my 7th cruise. My third on Royal Caribbean and I was somewhat disappointed. The food was horrible. The activities were few and far between. When you got to an activity the venue was too small and could not accommodate all those that wanted to participate. I did not enjoy the activities director at all. He did not seem to have his heart in his job. A bit cocky for my liking.
Embarkation

This cruise was just that OK! The boat was huge which was great because it got me walking rather than laying around. There was three sea days and never room in the pools. The entertainment was just not there. Not many choices for fun.. Food was third rate!!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food was a great disappointment. Dinner in the dining room was always cold and really not good. It seems to me they added all the premium speciality restaurants and the dining room went down hill. I almost went to a speciality restaurant to get a meal but talked myself out of it as I kept trying to be satisfied with the Dining Room food. We did go to the Buffet a few times and the food there was not that good either. It was very disappointing. Room Service was horrible.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Not enough going on. Most activities were held in the schooner bar and there was just no room to participate.
Entertainment

The shows were all good. That was the bright spot for us.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
They were OK but it has been awhile since I have been on a Royal Caribbean cruise. We used to get spoiled and treated like Royalty however not this cruise. I expect this on a Carnival cruise but not Royal Caribbean. Oh Well! We went the entire cruise without a safe in our room. Our stateroom attendant told me that I had to make an appointment and hang in the room to have someone fix it. I was on vacation and did not feel I had to do this. Just wrong!
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The only way to get from one side of the ship to the other side was to go to level 5 walk across then take the elevator (which was always a nightmare because of the amount of people) to the floor you wanted to get off on.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a Balcony cabin and I thought it was one of the best cabins I have ever had. There was ample room for everything we brought. Our stateroom attendant did a great job keeping it clean.
Ship tip
If your on my time dining make sure you get to the dining room early. If you go during dinner time you will have to wait. The buffet line is crazy also. If you're not planning to go to the premium restaurants you will not have a great dining experiance.
WE got off and shopped this port also. Enjoyed it very much unfortunately it was very hot and there was really no air conditioning to jump into to feel better.
I loved it so much when we went in Jan that we have now booked for June 2018. Only difference, getting a balcony next trip. Had a Promanade room first trip
