Review summary

This cruise took place when hurricane Irma came through. Out cruise was extended 3 additional days. The captain and staff kept everyone well informed (as we were not only concerned with our trip, but our family and home back in Florida). Royal Caribbean provided discounts on services and waived all fees for any of the additional days at sea. They arranged additional talent to be flown to Cozumel so we didnt have to watch the sames shows. The were just incredible. This was our first trip with Royal... we will be Royal to Loyal from here on out. .. Did I mention how impressed we were with their humanitarian efforts. This was the icing on the cake. You can tell the company and their staff really care about people.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Show were incredible. The Aqua theater is so cool. All of the DJs and Muscicians were great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff on Royal Caribbean is a strong factor on what sets them apart from other cruise lines. They really pay attention to customer service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was kept very clean. Easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabin. Near the rear elevators. Not far down the corridor. The best part of this cabin in the view from the balcony over looking Central Park. They play music nightly (weather permitting). So you can have a glass of wine sit on your balcony, get the breeze and listen to the music before you leave for dinner. It also had a cool view of the floating bar and it was neat watching everyone walk through the park during formal nights.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Typical beach day.

Falmouth, Jamaica Did not visit port

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Decent shopping, easy access. We did do the ATV and Jade Caverns excursion. If you do it right, you will need to ditch your clothes after you are done. It was a blast! The caverns are not what you think. Although the water is supposedly clear, it smells strong of sulfur and you cannot see through it. Cool to look at but not many swam!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy.

The cruise line will change ports as needed. I believe they have already added Aruba for one of the ports

So happy all went well and that RC did the best they could considering the situation. I'm going on Oasis of the Seas in June 2018, I'm not sure if I should change Cruise since the ports are St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thank you!

I was also on this cruise and loved the extra port of costa maya Mexico. Also impressed with RC humanitarian effort by sending ships with aid to areas that needed help. This was my third cruise wth RC and have never been disappointed

Glad Royal Caribbean came thru for you in a dangerous time. I wish extending a cruise by three days would ease the problems of all impacted by Irma, but that is not the case. RCCL did their best to be helpful to many.
