Review summary

Because of Irma, we stayed 2 days in Cozumel, one day in Costa Maya (great place, beautiful!), and one extra sea day on our way back. They kept us safe, informed and entertained. It was more than I could ever imagine, perfect, fantastic cruise. The crew makes all the difference, and the ship is just incredibly fun. So much to do, to eat, to drink, to watch, to feel. Loyal to Royal after this!!

Easy, small lines, not much waiting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

MDR was perfect. The service was flawless, the staff so fun and focused. The food was good, deserts were delicious! Specialty, we did Chops, 150 and Izumi Hibachi, are not worth the extra money. Hibachi is fun though. Windjammer was weak and repetitive. Park Cafe great sandwiches! Wipe Out for a quick burger, the hot dog on the boardwalk and sorrentos pizza were good enough, the staff so friendly. Bars were good, Globe and Atlas PUB and Solarium bars the best.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Great pools, clean and not crowded whirpools/hot tubs. Did the zipline, fun, no line. Didn't have time for the rest. SPA service was expensive, but very good.

Entertainment

We only watched Oasis of Dreams, which was beautiful, very interesting. We ditched the Headliner as it was a stand up comedy. Come Fly got cancelledthe night we were going because of the ship's "intense" movement. Please change Cats, it's boring. Great Game shows with the enterteinment crew!!

Children's Programs

Have no kids.

Service and Staff

Wonderful! Didn't think it was possible to be even nicer than disney staff. We had only one problem, in regards to the drink package, we got conflicting information from guest relations and the bar staff and it made us loose one day of unlimited drinks. Apart from that, all was perfect, from the public bathroom cleaning ladies to the captain, they were all amazing.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship!! Impecable cleaning, flawless design, easy to find yourself, so many different places to go that nowhere felt like 6000 people. Fantastic!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect, super clean, good size, enough storaging spaces. Didn't like the second mattress over the bed though, it kept getting out of the place. Balcony was beautiful. Quiet days and nights.

Ship tip

Try the Creme Brulee and the Pavlova. Don't miss Oasis of Dreams. Make reservations for everything even if you don't go in the end. Don't miss The Quest and Love and Marriage game shows. Just chill, enjoy the whirpools, do everything on your own time and pace. Do not try to do everything everyday, there's just so much!! Have a wonderful voyage like we did!

Red Stripe beach is beautiful!!!! And cheap!! And close to the port! Good shopping on the port.

Cozumel, Mexico

Do not do excursions!! We rent a car at the port for 60 dollars with gas and we drove the whole island, went to deserted beaches, had lunch in a calm and not crowded beach, went to San Gervasio ruins and did some shopping at the port. Most beautiful water I've ever seen (i've been to bora bora), but NOT on the beach clubs!!! They get crowded! Go to the "unspoiled beaches", on the other side of the island. So crystal clear!!!

Disembarkation

We waited until the last minute (room steward knocked on our door and told us to leave) so we didn't get any lines whatsoever.Easiest disimbarkation ever.
