Review summary

Overall, my family and I had a wonderful time. The cruise director is full of energy and really gets the crowds going. The ship is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed the 70s dance party and the dreamworks parade. The entertainment was great and something for everyone. The sports zone had a lot of activities and we were never bored. Even though, the ship is huge, it's easy to navigate. The staff and crew were friendly. The food was a hit or miss, but overall we were satisfied with the food options. The Adventure Ocean kids program is wonderful and my youngest never wanted to leave. I would definitely recommend this ship.

Embarkation

Very smooth and quick. The woman who checked us in was very helpful by allowing us to board the ship quickly because of our child with autism.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The desserts in the main dining room were delicious. The main course was either a hit or miss. We didn't try any speciality dining this time around, but from our previous experience, it was fantastic. Overall, a wide selection of food and we were always satisfied.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is so much to do and something for everyone. My daughter enjoyed the flow rider. We did rock climbing, miniature golf, zip lining, and ice skating

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows, singing and dancing were exceptional. Something for everyone, and they were all different. My husband and I especially liked the comedy show at night.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 5 year old never wanted to leave Adventure Ocean. They do arts and crafts with the kids, performances, games, and so much more.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

The best looking ship and my favorite one so far.

Cabin / Stateroom

Surprisingly roomy and always clean.

Ship tip

Consider taking the stairs after shows, because the elevators do get packed. Make sure to have socks and long pants if you want to go ice skating. Make reservations for shows ahead of time because they to sell out. Also, if you are doing my time dining, make reservations online ahead of time, that way you won't have to wait to be seated.

Didn't do much exploring, but the area was nice where all the ships were docked.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Locals are friendly and beautiful beaches.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is beautiful, but unfortunately we couldn't really enjoy it because it rained all day. Also, I felt the locals were not as friendly as St Martaan. Also, unlike St Martaan (which is duty free) you are charged an 11% tax on all your purchases. My main complaint was not enough time in Puerto Rico. From 7:30am to 1:30pm. (The ship docked at 7am but they started letting people off at 7:30 and wanted everyone back on board by 1:30pm with the ship departing at 2pm). The ship arriving at 7am is early because a lot of the shops and attractions open later.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Beautiful private island and the barbacue on the beach was great! Really enjoyed doing the longest zip line in the world.
