This ship and itenery were ok. Even with the lack of activities I had a good time. As a regular cruiser, RCL will not be my first choice. They seemed to nickel and dime passengers for everything.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It went ok. After check-in there was no clear direction on what to do or where to go next. However, there were so many venders as the ships personnel moved you along without allowing time to really explore the venders.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was just ok. Our Party of five signed up for the first night done right experience. They separated us into two separate restaurants. They had numerous "specialty" restaurants. These all required diners to pay more. It seemed as though the really good food was reserved for those dining spaces.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
There weren't enough small group activities that did not require you to pay extra. Most centered sound dances in the promenade or drinking. There were two martini tasting that really enjoyed.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows were very well done.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
The teen program left a lot to be desired in the way of supervision. The 12 year olds were placed with the 17 year olds. In the evenings a lot of the activities were for 15-17 year olds only. This left my 12 year old without structured activities in the evening.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The staff did there jobs. They were very polite but not very friendly. Our room steward was great. He was able to answer all of our questions and really connected with my 12 year old travelet. Chief Steven and Sous chief Phillip gave us a fantastic tour of the galley. .

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved my cabin. It could have been a bit bigger but it was nice.
It was a beautiful island. We took a tour that took us to a beach. It rained off and on. We had to rent chairs to sit on the beach. The beach restaurant wanted us to buy food if we were taking shelter from the pouring rain.
I always love visiting Puerto Rico. It rained the whole day. We were not able to get out of our tour van except to tour a fort. At the end of the tour we were allowed to get out and walk back to the ship if we wanted to explore some more on the island.
It may not be for u wife and I had a great time on Oasis. We went to 6 shows and numerous other activities from morning till night. Service was unbelievable. As far as drink package being taken oh well it's their policy. Sorry u didn't have a good time.
Im surprised to hear you were bored on the Oasis. We've been on her twice and didn't have enough time to do all the fun activities and entertainment. I guess everyone has their own opinion. RCL does offer many up charges but it's totally up to you to purchase them or not. On the contrary, we found NCL's freestyle cruising unorganized and lacking enough activities and entertainment. The beverage package being taken away, sorry but that's on you not RCL.
Kazakh He had the package taken away because sharing is not permitted. It clearly states in RC policy that they can take away the package if the policy is broken and you will not get reimbursed. Carnival has the same thing in place as well.
I totally agree! Others say that It's a huge ship and it has tons of stuff to do! And I'm bored out of my mind! And they do nickel and dime you! My friend was on it at the same time and he bought the royal replenish package and he got a smoothie for his son and he got the package taken away with no reimbursement! Royal Caribbean is not going to ever be my first choice... NCL All the way!
