Review summary

This was our first cruise and we decided to go on the Oasis for our honeymoon. We had such an amazing time and absolutely loved the ship! Next time we will plan out what all we would like to do on the ship during the week when we first get there so we don't run out of time like we did. We ended up not getting to do everything we wanted due to time. The entertainment was awesome! We went to every show that requires a reservation except Cats. We loved Park Cafe and Sorrentos pizza. My husband is a vegan and the Main Dining Room was very accommodating to his diet needs. They made him an appetizer, main dish and dessert each night. After the first night eating at the MDR we were told to be there every night for the week at 5pm so we could get the same table and my husband would get his vegan meals. We already had other reservations times based on our shows and activities at ports. 5:00 pm was too early for us to eat each night, so next time we will do our dining differently. We absolutely loved our waitress Floribeth and waiter Sebastio in the MDR! All of the food was delicious. We loved the hot tubs at night. This was our first cruise but won't be our last!

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
My husband and I were very pleased with the staff and food in the main dining room, Windjammer, Park Cafe and Sorrentos. These are the only restaurants we ate at on our trip. My husband is a vegan and the main dining room had an appetizer, main course and dessert ready for him every night we ate there. Floribeth and Sebastio were our waitress and waiter and we were beyond happy with their service in the main dining room! We were expected to be at the main dining room at 5 pm each night even though we had other reservation times throughout the week based on our shows and activities. 5 ended up being way too early for us to eat each night.

We had a Central Park balcony and it was perfect size for the 2 of us. We loved hearing the music throughout the day and at night outside our room.

Ship tip

Plan out what all you want to do on the ship the first couple days so you don't miss out on anything You want to do.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Nassau, Bahamas

This was our favorite port and we swam with dolphins for our excursion at Balmoral Island. It was awesome!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Loved the port and we did a snorkeling excursion in St John through Royal Caribbean. By the time we got to the beach in St John we only had 40 minutes to actually snorkel and swim. We felt way too rushed all day plus there was an hour boat ride there and then back from St John.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Absolutely loved St Maarten! We did Bernard's Tours that wasn't through Royal Caribbean and it was awesome! Highly recommend them. We got to see all of St Maarten in about 5 hours.

We have gluten free diet and they like you to eat the special diet foods early because they are prepared first in the kitchen in the MDR. We had 5:45 dining time all week and same table/servers all week on the June cruise we just did. It was a great time to finish then get to the shows. We had to order breakfast and dinner the night before for the next day and one night he was sick so I had to go cancel our table reservation and because we had ordered the night before they sent the food up to our cabin. It was awesome. We also took the all access ship tour on a sea day and that's when we found out the prep the special diet foods first so they don't contaminated from the regular foods. I thought it was great since I have wheat allergy and cross contamination is a big issue with me eating out. This was our 2nd cruise on RC and October will be our 3rd. And already planning next years!
