Review summary

I would go again to experience the ships, but the itinerary was terrible. Would rather save money and go on Carnival if not going on an Oasis Class ship.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Lots of agents on duty to quickly process the paperwork. Only problem is they didn't ask us which 2 of the 3 room keys should have the soda package sticker on them. Had to get one changed once on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Not sure why people think RCL is better than other lines - especially Carnival. Nothing beats Carnival Warm Chocolate Melting cake and you can get it everynight! Food is good, but just about the same as Carnival's!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This is where RCL shines! Lots to do. Of course it's the biggest class of ship at sea, so obviously there's going to be lots to do!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
My wife loves the musical CATS! Feel sorry for the cast as over half the audience left at intermission. Not their fault, the production was excellent. It's just that CATS has no storyline so very boring for those who do not appreciate the excellent production values of it.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Lots of smiles and good service.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Cabins are pretty small (especially compared to Carnival's) for such a big ship. The bathroom is a joke!

Ship tip

Excellent cabin 729 - any floor! It's a boardwalk balconey at the end of the ship. Gives you the best of overlooking the boardwalk and see the Aqua Theater. Watched movies and the diving show from our balconey!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

2 out of 5
Really you calling this a port of call. It's just a place to get on and off the ship!

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Okay for beach day, but too pricey to do anything else!

Falmouth, Jamaica

2 out of 5
Nice shopping right at the dock, but why would anyone go outside the gates on this island?

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Excellent scuba and snorkeling port. Just don't do a ship excursion with 25-50 of your cabin mates. Get a private excursion for more personal attention and less flippers in your face!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
1st numbers called off and quick customs.
