Review summary

Would not rexcomend this ship. Out cabin guy was great!  He tried to help us many times with the air in our room.  Food was decent.  Breakfast was same old same old in every restaurant. You need a variety.  My hubs, my son and I could have went to Hawaii for a week or more on what money I spent on this cruise, including flight and rooms, but I wanted the cruise.  Wish I had a do-over.  That was my 1st and last cruise with RC.

Room was too hot. Maintaince tried to fix it 4 times with no improvement. And for the $$ it was extremely small, I thought I upgraded to a larger room, but I guess I did not. We couldn't even use The balcony because The room would get even hotter, had to keep The curtain closed The entire week. Waste of money. The hallway outside our room smelled of sewage.

Ship tip

Dont go.

Tickets alone to Hawaii are over $900 (from Texas). To Miami about $300.

We are doing a 7 day cruise in the loft on the oasis for our honeymoon followed by a 7 day stay at disney world. Disney is much more expensive lol good luck in hawaii

Sounds like someone who cannot be pleased. That's unfortunate. I'm so looking forward to my cruise on Oasis!

43 years ago I wanted to do a cruise for our honeymoon but hubby couldn't leave land. So we did a Walt Disney Orlando Honeymoon and we spent more money on the Disney trip than the cruise. That was back in 1983. So a trip to Hawaii will not be cheaper than a cruise. My husband priced out Hawaii for our 43 anniversary and the cruise was cheaper & offered so much more.

Melissa light would have found her Hawaii trip lacking also. Restaurants too expensive, hotel staff rude, rooms only cleaned every other day, no fresh towels or sheets unless specifically requested, beaches too crowded , not to mention having to have a rent a car! I got married 43 years ago and I wanted to do a cruise. Back then my husband didn't want to leave land so we did Walt Disney world for our honeymoon. We spent more money at Disney than we would have on the cruise!! That was 43 years ago! We sail in August. Can't wait.

I found a huge variety of food for breakfast. What did you want that you didn't find? Cruises are typically a good deal....unless you booked the owners suite. Did you??

Fonzw0rth    7 years ago

you my dear have not seen hawaii prices in sometime if you believe that

lab341    7 years ago

Twangster... I read that as cursing just isn't for some people, might be because I don't usually swear text. lol

ladywraith24    7 years ago

yeah and she forgot to mention food on her hawaii trip, food is free on the ship and plentiful

lab341    7 years ago

I don't get what someone means no breakfast variety. Cereal, eggs, bacon , sausage, fr toast, waffles, fruit, ECT.... Oh I know no bba ribs, corn on the cob or salad bar??? WTF!!!

cruising just isn't for some people.

Love to cruise!

kmcjrc    7 years ago

I think some people are just never happy no matter what they do just saying

grandmarnnurse    7 years ago

TLGmechanical---you got that right! There is no way in hell a land resort--especially in Hawaii--would be less than a cruise for 3 people!! I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when I read someone complaining about everything on some of the greatest ships at sea, I am totally baffled! I just don't get it! Perhaps they have unreasonable expectations?? Not sure. I sure as hell found a lot to choose from at breakfast! Lol!

kmcjrc    7 years ago

who can you book Hawaii through that cheap I would love to go

ritarn    7 years ago

I have been on 4 RC cruises, 2 Norweigian, 1 Disney, and 3 Carnival cruises. By far a cruise is definitely the way to go. RC is the best of what I have been on. so sorry you didn't have the same experience.

bennbilly    7 years ago

I've never been on any cruise on any cruise line where the food was bad and there wasn't a variety!

Lmttgee    7 years ago

Sorry to hear you had a bad time! I've been in 5 RC cruises and they have all been great!

MulletChamp2024    7 years ago

I seriously doubt three people could have went to Hawaii for the price of a cruise for three people.
