Review summary

I've been on Carnival, Norwegian and another smaller cruise line before, but nothing compared to RCL's Oasis of the Seas. The decor, the food, the activities all exceeded expectations. The full "Cats" broadway show (with the set and everything!) was great. This ship even had an ice skating rink!

Would definitely recommend this ship (and RCL in general) to others.

My only two complaints are that the crowd is mostly senior citizens and families, so as a single 20-something or 30-something, the nightlife and activities may be a bit underwhelming due to the lack of participants, but that's no fault of the cruise line itself. The second complaint is that the port of calls aren't really that impressive - but most cruise ships stop in the Bahamas and similar islands, so again, it's hard to attribute that to the cruise line itself.

staff was responsible and friendly. the stateroom was larger than the ones I've been in on Carnival and Norwegian.

Ship tip

Definitely book your shows in advance, this ship has a crowd of 5,000+ so the shows in smaller venues get very packed.

I agree that the Oasis was a fabulous ship, but HATED CATS!! Too long for a cruise ship, and we like something more upbeat, like Grease, Momma Mia, Million Dollar Quartet. We found we liked NCL for their freestyle cruising and more after-hours free food choices.

Try Harmony she's got some nice additional, Ultimate Abyss, water slides but still an Oasis class ship
